Conductor

Ms. Claudio has studied conducting at the prestigious Royal Conservatory of Music with Edith Lantos, Linda Song and Ellen Smee. She has recently studied conducting at The British Kodaly Academy in Scotland with Areti Lymperopoulou and is continuing studies at Victoria University located in Toronto.

 

Ms. Claudio has been privileged to conduct choirs at organizations such as The Toronto Children's Chorus, Oakville Choir for Children and Youth as well St. Philips-on-the-Hill Anglican and Bridlewood Presbyterian Churches.

 

Her experience with children choruses incorporates movement that is creative and fun as well the visual/manual modality of sign language. With over 150 different sign languages worldwide it makes for rich inclusivity and choral singing movement that is intelligible and reflective of different languages performed in choral communities.

 

Through her unique blend of teaching pedagogies and creative techniques, Ms. Claudio has touched the lives of countless children, nurturing their love for music and enriching their musical journey.

Jacinta shows a genuine dedication to children in her care, always demonstrating creativity in her work with young singers. She works hard to engage the choristers and passionately helps them develop their musical skills. Jacinta displays enthusiasm for music and education apparent to all, bringing good energy to each session. She composed music for our 30th anniversary which the children performed with confidence.

Ms. Claudio is an incredible ambassador for our organization and children, developing their vocal and musicianship skills in a holistic and creative manner.
